Currently we have a vacancy for a Procurement/Purchasing Manager to join our dynamic team in Mulhuddart, Dublin 15.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Identify purchasing/procurement needs across the organisation.
• Lead contract negotiations and oversee purchasing/procurement for large and medium projects.
• Manage indirect purchasing/procurement for daily operations.
• Conduct supplier capacity modeling, project planning and inventory management.
• Management of inventory control , stock returns and stock takes.
• Responsibility for the management and growth of 2 warehouse personnel, working with them to improve efficiencies and create new processes.
• Manage purchasing/procurement budgets, forecasting and payment processes.
• Monitor supplier performance and optimise business operations.
• Create cost estimates and schedules for long lead equipment.
• Devise initiative to drive purchasing/procurement performance.
• Monitor industry trends and engage in supplier relationship management.
• Provide strategic procurement/Purchasing advice and engage with client teams.
• Establish procurement/purchasing policies, procedures and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement/purchasing and supply chain management within electrical or construction environments.
• Professional qualification in procurement or supply chain management.
• In depth technical knowledge of automation equipment
• End to end knowledge of purchasing/Procurement and supply chain operations with international sourcing experience.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Strong IT skills, particularly in data processing, management, and analytics
• Strong negotiations skills with a track record of reducing costs.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage priorities effectively.
• Ability to build strong relationships with teams and clients.
